Detroit East English Village Preparatory Academy powered past Detroit Public School League East Division foe Detroit Davis Aerospace Technical at Golightly 51-8 on Thursday, Jan. 9, at East English.

   The Bulldogs led 24-5 at halftime and used a 19-0 third quarter to seal the win and played the fourth quarter under a running clock.

   East English improved to 2-3 overall and 2-1 in league play.

   Nicole Allen led the Bulldogs with 20 points, 10 steals and five rebounds. Tekay Meholmes scored 13 points and five assists. Sharlae Patton added nine points and seven steals. Nijah Waller scored five points. Qualia Parker and Rontasia Griggs both added two points.

   East English travels to Detroit Osborn on Monday, Jan. 13.
