   Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Kingswood pounded Catholic High School League Intersectional No. 1  rival Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes 51-23 in girls basketball action on Wednesday, Jan. 12, at Lakes.

   Cranbrook improved to 7-1 overall and 4-0 in the CHSL. Lakes fell to 4-4/1-2.

   Yasmyn Palmer scored 14 points (11 in the first half) to lead the Cranes. Jordan Richie scored 13 points. Kendall McKaskill had nine points. Jadyn Kaufman scored six points. Sravya Oruganti added five points. Racheal Claxton had four points.

   The Cranes led 29-11 at halftime and expanded the lead to 42-16 after three quarters.

   Cranbrook travels to Marine City Cardinal Mooney (1-6/0-2) on Jan. 21. The Cranes beat the Cardinals on Jan. 4, 39-9.
