Detroit Mumford improved to 6-1 in the Detroit Public School League West Division with a convincing 58-15 win over Detroit West Side Academy for Information Technology on Thursday, Jan. 23, at Mumford.

  Jaquoia Jackson scored 14 points to lead Mumford. Keara Wilson scored 12 points. Sequoia Jackson had 11 points. Ajanee' Horton and Makayla Camp both added seven points in the win.

   Mumford faces Detroit Cody (6-0/11-1) on Monday, Jan. 27, with first place in the division on the line.

Detroit Cody 73. Detroit Central 14: Aaliyah Scott had 18 points, and Aiyanna Tanksley had 17 points and 12 rebounds for the Comets. The Comets improved to 6-0 in the division.

Detroit Renaissance 55, Detroit Western International 6: Makyah Finley had 11 points, and Audrianna Hill had 10 points for the Phoenix.

Detroit Collegiate Preparatory at Northwestern 34, Detroit Henry Ford 15: The Colts improved to 4-2 in the division with the win.

East Division

Detroit Cass Technical 66, Detroit East English Village Preparatory 11: Kennedy Tidwell scored 20 and Precious Fields had 18 points, 10 rebounds and 10 steals for the Technicians.

Detroit Martin Luther King Jr. 58, Detroit Southeastern 22: Monica Williams had 18 points, Marche Borden had 14, and Alexis Brown had 12 points for the Crusaders.

Detroit Denby 68, Detroit Davis Aerospace Technical at Golightly 15: The Tars improved to 4-2 in the division.

Detroit Pershing 48, Detroit International Academy for Young Women 12: The Doughboys evened its record in the division at 3-3.
