   Bloomfield Hills Academy of the Sacred Heart pounded Catholic High School League Intersectional 2 foe Detroit Cristo Rey 56-17 in girls basketball action on Friday, Jan. 14, at Sacred Heart.

   Sacred Heart raced to a quick 14-0 lead and led 18-1 after one quarter and 30-11 at halftime.

   Junior Jade Horcoff led the Gazelles with 22 points. Freshman Allison Zemke had 12 points. Sophomore Kayla Nafso scored 10 points. Senior Mary Lehmkuhl had eight points.

   Sacred Heart beat Chesterfield Austin Catholic 36-10 on Jan. 7.

   Sacred Heart (2-1 CHSL) hosts league foe Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Preparatory (1-1 CHSL) on Tuesday, Jan. 18.
