   Detroit Cass Technical pounded Detroit Public School League rival Detroit Martin Luther King Jr. 68-18 in girls basketball action on Monday, March 1, at King.

   Cass Tech (4-2/3-0) led 49-14 at halftime. Most of the second half was played under a running clock.

   Maya Anderson scored 16 points, Taylor Williams had 14 points, Precious Fields scored 11 points, and Desiree Jackson had nine points for Cass Tech in a game where starters got limited playing time.

   Cass Tech travels to Birmingham Groves on Wednesday, March 3.

   King hosts Detroit Pershing on Thursday, March 4.
