   Plymouth Christian Academy raced out to a 13-0 lead and cruised to a 63-15 victory over Ann Arbor Central Academy in its Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 4, District 121 girls basketball semifinal on Monday, March 2, at Plymouth Christian.

   The Eagles used a smothering defense and fast-break offense to take a 22-4 lead after the first quarter. The lead was 38-11 at halftime and 53-11 after three quarters.

   Anna Fernandez led the Eagles with 26 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and five steals. Morganne Houk had 14 points, a rebound, two

 

assists, and eight steals. Isabel Mossel finished with seven points, five rebounds, two assists, and four steals. Ariela Boboc added five points, seven rebounds, an assist, a steal, and four blocks.

   Plymouth Christian (15-6) faces No. 1-ranked and two-time defending MHSAA champion Adrian Lenawee Christian (17-3) in the district final on Friday, March 6, at 7 p.m. Lenawee Christian will be playing without two-time Division 4 player of the year Bree Salenbien, due to injury. Lenawee Christian downed Ann Arbor Rudolf Steiner 58-8 in its semifinal game on Monday.
