   Wixom St. Catherine of Siena raced to a 30-4 halftime lead and coasted to a 43-17 win over Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett to open the Catholic High School League Cardinal Division girls basketball playoffs on Monday, March 15.

   St. Catherine opened the game with a 12-0 run and led 17-2 after one quarter.

Arena led the team with eight points in limited minutes. Senior Sarah Johnston scored seven points.

   St. Catherine will host Madison Heights Bishop Foley on Wednesday, March 17, in the CHSL semifinals. Royal Oak Shrine Catholic faces Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes in the other Cardinal semifinal.

   The CHSL Cardinal Division championship will be held Friday, March 19, at Riverview Gabriel Richard.
