   Royal Oak Shrine Catholic downed Catholic High School League rival Bloomfield Hills Academy of the Sacred Heart 46-19 to open the Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 3, District 91 playoffs on Monday, March 22, at Shrine.

   Shrine led 10-4 after the first quarter and 24-9 at halftime.

 

  Sophomore Maura Gum led the Knights with 10 points in a balanced attack.

   Shrine (10-6) advances to face Madison Heights Bishop Foley (7-5) in the district final on Wednesday, March 24, at Shrine.

   Foley beat Warren Michigan Collegiate 72-13 in its semifinal game.
